What is  a GM World Class Technician?

GM Goodwrench service technicians across the nation complete extensive GM training to earn the status of Mr. Goodwrench, "the one and only GM expert." Some GM technicians take over 450 hours of training to reach an even higher level of expertise - a GM World Class Technician. Of the 60,000 service technicians nationally, There are only about 1,000 World Class Technicians.  A GM service technician can earn World Class status in the mechanical and/or body areas. Once achieved, the technician positions himself as one of the most knowledgeable in his field and serves as a role model for all GM Goodwrench technicians.

Fuel Economy Maintenance Tips

Want to improve your gas mileage?

Keep your vehicle running smoothly by following the recommendations in your Owner's Manual, as well as these tips:

*  Use a clean air filter.  The better the air flow into your engine, the more efficiently the engine runs.  Make sure your air filter is clean.  Don't just shake it out, replace it.

*  Get regular oil changes.  Clean oil provides better lubrication, which means less energy is needed to get the engine to work.  Stretching your oil change interval could be costing you money at the gas pump.

*  Keep your fuel injectors clean.  Removing carbon and varnish deposits increases their performance and efficiency.

Fuel Injection Service

 

All engines using fuel injection do in fact require some slightly different fuel system maintenance! The normal wear and tear with today's underhood temperatures and changes in gasoline quality suggests some buildup of olefin wax, dirt, water and many other additives.

Our complete fuel injector system service includes:

  • Check fuel pump operating pressure and volume.
  • Test pressure regulator for operation and leakage.
  • Flush entire fuel rail and upper fuel injector screens to include pressure regulator.
  • Clean fuel injectors.
  • Decarbon engine assembly.
  • Clean throttle plate and idle air control (IAC) passages.
  • Check minimum air flow rate and adjust if needed.
  • Relearn onboard computer.

The performance gained is absolutely amazing.
